Toronto is playing host to the Pan American (Pan Am) Games this year. Nathan Phillips Square, where the City Hall is located, erected this giant Toronto sign that is becoming a very popular vocal point for the city and visitors.

Hahahaha, probably! I don't think anyone outside of Canada and South America really cares about the Pan Am Games, possibly not even the Americans.

I see no information in this sign. Everybody there knows they're in Toronto. An anagram (I suggest "To or not") would have given people the fun of exercising their brains ***and*** conveyed an important observation about modern life (no matter how hard you worked your brain, you're still in Toronto).

I suspect this sign is popular for selfies so people can prove their out-of-town friends that they do indeed live in Toronto rather than Thunder Bay.
