Parama Lithuanian Credit Union

Parama Lithuanian Credit Union
Parama Credit Union was established in 1952 by new Lithuanians to help each other buy homes and establish new lives in Canada. What started with just a few people in the basement of a community hall has grown to be the world's largest Lithuanian Credit Union in both assets and number of members.

Part of Toronto's main east-west Bloor Street thoroughfare is known as Bloor West Village, and historically where many Central and Eastern Europeans have come to live and shop. Since the 1990s, many Central and Eastern Europeans have moved to newer neighbourhoods, but Bloor Street West still has many shops where one can get European food, restaurants, products and services.
