Aer Lingus launches nonstop Dublin to Toronto service

Aer Lingus launches nonstop Dublin to Toronto service
Too bad that Aer Lingus didn't serve Toronto when I visited Ireland in May 2013!

Aer Lingus recently launched a new nonstop Dublin (DUB) to Toronto (YYZ) service. The service is a damp lease arrangement with Air Contractors, under which Air Contractors provides the Aer Lingus-liveried Boeing 757 along with the flight crew, but Aer Lingus itself provides the cabin crew (flight attendants) on the Dublin-Toronto-Dublin run.

This is flight EI 129 Dublin to Toronto.

Taken from Carlingview Drive south of Dixon Road in the very west end of Toronto.

Nice! Always good to see new services. I wonder if this is a reaction to WestJet flying to Dublin from St John's?

I think it's more like the Irish economic crisis has sent many Irish people to work in Canada on a temporary basis. Before, only Air Transat had a seasona, non-daily Toronto-Dublin service. Now suddenly, we have WestJet doing Toronto-St. John's-Dublin; plus Air Canada and Aer Lingus also doing year-round Toronto-Dublin flights.
