Run, what run?

Run, what run?
A total stranger on the bus from York to Whitby had told me about the credit crisis of British bank Northern Rock on Friday 14 September 2007. Subsequently I read about the run on Northern Rock, in which panic depositors withdrew £ (GBP) 4-billion (4,000,000,000) from the bank within days.

However, when I came by this Northern Rock branch at the corner of New Street and Davygate in York on 16 September 2007. All was quiet, no queues, no panic clients demanding their money back. It's Sunday after all. Just a woman licking her ice cream can be seen walking by the sickened bank.
