Leverkusen

Leverkusen
Not too many airlines name their individual aircraft nowadays, though Lufthansa, KLM and British Airways still do.

This Lufthansa Airbus A340-600 is named Leverkusen. Not sure who or what is Leverkusen. Perhaps my German contact Vovchychko can enlighten me on the subject.

Aer Lingus name their planes after medieval Irish saints.

Ah, I see. I did notice that Aer Lingus' planes are all named. Very old school but i love it. I flew Aer Lingus from DUB to AMS on my way back to YYZ. I purposely picked the routing YYZ - CDG - DUB - AMS - YYZ so that I could fly in a CityJet BAe 146 and on an Aer Lingus flight
