Belleek "Glenveigh" Clock

Belleek "Glenveigh" Clock
Belleek is probably Ireland's most well-known porcelain maker. This is the Glenveigh clock. Glenveigh is Gaelic for "Valley of Birch."

This clock features the 8th mark (also called the Blue mark), which means that it's made between 1993 and 1996. It appears to be the last period during which the actual clockwork was still made in Germany. I'm glad to have this one with the German clockwork.

Subsequently, a rather cheap-looking Taiwanese plastic clock has been used.

The fine porcelain casing, however, has always been and is still made in Ireland.
