No. 1 Wall Street and Trinity Church

No. 1 Wall Street and Trinity Church
The tall building, at No. 1, Wall Street, was completed in 1932 as the Irving Trust Co., later Irving Bank. In 1988, the Bank of New York acquired Irving Bank and moved BNY's head office from its old address at 48, Wall Street, into Irving's head office tower.

Trinity Church is one of New York City's oldest churches and was built of lovely rust-coloured brownstone. It's located not far from the former World Trade Center and many were amazed that it did not suffer serious damage when the World Trade Center collapsed during the 9/11 attacks.
