St. Nicholas Church (C of I), Dundalk, Ireland

St. Nicholas Church (C of I), Dundalk, Ireland
Dundalk interestingly has two St. Nicholas Churches, and both are confusingly on Church Street (is it any surprise??) -- one is Roman Catholic and the other Church of Ireland.

This is the St. Nicholas Church of Ireland Church, parts of which date back to the 13th century. Because of its green spire, the locals call it the Green Church. Agnes Galt (née Burns) was buried in the graveyard here; she's the sister of Scottish poet Robbie Burns. Agnes Galt lived with her husband William near Dundalk for 18 years.

Yeah, and that's a very Canadian thing strangely. Many 19th c. buildings in Canada feature an oxidized brass done or roof.
