Treasure Hunt: Vice Versa- background

I kept my lens at a wider focal length to maintain depth of field here, the crucial difference being that the distances between camera to subject and subject to background are actually greater than those in last months contribution where I got in real close to a flower. that shot was taken at f2.8 to minimize depth of field while this one was shot only 2 stops smaller at f6.

What a lot of fun this looks! Your explanation is similar to mine...I refer to this as having the subject and background in the same focal plane.

I like the fact that the subject is obvious but you can view the whole pic without detracting from the horses and riders.
