Blackpool.

Blackpool.
TSC ~ Something that evokes a mood.

Sorry! I think I may have got it a bit wrong this week. I have been away for the weekend and I had another challenge on the other side which was musical. At first I was going to do a twofer as music always puts me in a better mood then I realized that I couldn't do table top stuff. Blackpool is now very rough around the edges but has a lot of childhood memories for me. Although this picture evokes many moods for me I realize it won't for anyone else. Sorry! Run out of time. Delete if you want Wendi, I don't mind.

don't delete it... It certainly evokes memories and emotions for me even tho I have never been there! Many years ago, my Dads shop phone number was one digit different in the dialling code to Blackpool Tower ballroom. Many times we had people calling a pharmacy in Hampshire trying to book a table for the weekend!

Its a great sea-scape Yvette and if this brings back childhood memories for you, then it probably will for others too! For me, a seaside shot like this suggests fun, excitement and nostalgia - so thats three emotions straight away! :-)

I love the mono conversion and the POV that suggests that you are out at sea whilst taking the shot! Presumably you were on a pier or similar!?

Great shot of Blackpool. I wasn't there as a child, but I have happy memories of taking my children there.

Yvette...this brings back so many memories for me for this is my hometown....I was born here! I look at this with happiness and longing. I would love to go back to visit my family but need to save my pennies. As much as I love Australia my heart is in England. I would never leave Oz now (even though I hate the hot weather) but would love to be in a position where I could head over to Blackpool and visit every couple of years. That would be the best of both worlds for me! Thank you for posting this photo...my mood is joyful!!

I can remember seeing Blackpool beach crammed packed with families on red hot summer days. I can also remember those same families battling gale force winds and driving rain along the promenade a few hours later. The land of tack and kitsch has is own atmosphere and you have a great capture here to show it.

Produces all sorts of emotions and memories for me too. I remember as a kid being taken in the car all the way from Scotland just to see the illuminations. Then in the Eighties I remember going to the Custom Car Show that I think was held in the ballroom, first as a mere spectator and then later to promote my own events. :)

Oh it evokes a happy mood for me. I spent two wonderful days there with my partner about ten years ago. We were like big kids.
sorry I am always so late with comments - I mostly only get here at the weekends.
