Langdale Estate

Langdale Estate
This little watercourse has been diverted from the nearby beck and runs through the Langdale Estate, which comprises a luxury hotel and timeshare lodges, all set in award-winning grounds of 35 acres.

The site was once occupied by a gunpowder mill, and the water was used to power the machinery.

Swords into ploughshares.......so lovely, I think I could happily spend a holiday there. the little weir and ferns in the foreground are delightful, and must add sound to the scene

What a nice way of putting it. I must remember that one. A pity some parts of the world don't adopt it.

A lovely looking spot and so nicely captured. It's reminded me of a similar spot in St Andrew that I haven't visited for ages.
