Billiards Room Door
Near to the main house at Allan Bank, Grasmere, home to William Wordsworth 1808-11, is a small chapel-like building which was apparently a billiards room. Allan Bank is owned by the National Trust and was rented out to private tenants until a disastrous fire in 2011. The house is now undergoing restoration and for six months visitors are being encouraged to give their opinions on its future use.
