Blue Jay

Blue Jay
We had 8.5 inches of snow the other day. Caught this Blue Jay trying to keep warm.

Awwwww...poor thing. But great photo with the snow coming down! You've captured the mood so well.

Great capture if this one! I like how the blue of the blue jay stands out against the white of the snow.

Great shot. So you have blue jays up there in Fairview? I've never seen them in this part of Montana.

Diana, we have lots of Blue Jays here. There are about 10 at our feeder each day.

I looked up their range and oddly, they cover the eastern half of the U.S. and then a large portion of Canada except British Columbia. We live in stellar jay range here, but this past summer I never saw one. I did see a gray jay (my second time ever) this autumn on our land - and in our garage! I hope someday we see blue jays here, too.

That's beautiful, Ken - gorgeous Blue Jay and so pretty surrounded by snow and falling snowflakes.
