Masonic Lodge and School House

Masonic Lodge and School House
.....Masonary, or Free Masons as it is more properly called, is an international fraternity whose orgins go back to the builders of those remarkable Gothic style buildings of the Middle Ages in Europe and England. In 1874 realizing the need for a school, Bannack Masonic Lodge No.16 built the combination lodge and school. The masonic lodge was located on the second floor. The first floor of this building served as the Bannack School for over 70 years when it closed in the early 1950's. This was a public school serving students in K-8th grade.

Dear Duane !!!!
Excellent and Very Historic Shoot!!! Allow me to tell you. The roots of Freemasonry arrive shortly before the 11th century!!!!!

The Eye of Providence (or the all-seeing eye of God) is a symbol showing an eye often surrounded by rays of light or a glory and usually enclosed by a triangle. It is sometimes interpreted as representing the eye of God watching over humankind (or divine providence). In the modern era, the most notable depiction of the eye is the reverse of the Great Seal of the United States, which appears on the United States one-dollar bill.

Best Regards !!!!!!!

o0o this building is fascinating, and the chimney also, I always
look at chimneys :) we have many old ones of course of funny
shapes here, perhaps that is why ! but the second floor used
for the Masons, that's interesting, here in one particular National
Trust Property, which is very old indeed .. on the second floor
are the designs used by them, although it is denied it was ever
used for these meetings, but the art work is there to
be seen :) this building was closed in 1950, and it looks as good
as new here :) and a wonderful location it always looks here.
Its a lovely lovely presentation Duane, hats off to you :) oOo

"o0o Duane, it is not often I am shall we say "high" enough to be able to capture
the sunset like this ... as you drive out of Stratford there is a high point, this is
about this area ... and a layby to pull into ... conveniently ... and I just had to say
"stop the car" :) this was just too good to miss ... I have tried to cut the glare
by slightly reducing the exposure .. but that is all ... as I have not a clue how
to post process ... so what you see is 99% of exactly how it was :) perhaps
some good weather and clearer skies will reach you soon ... I will send some
on its way to you :) oOo many thanks :) "
