O&S - Welsh walls
These look like a fence, however, they are dry stone walls. In fact, the version to be found in parts of North Wales - these are in the Snowdonia National Park, not far from Tomen y Mur. Vertical slabs set into the ground, and either very slightly overlapped or wired in position to prevent cattle or sheep pushing them over.
