Having been out on a training exercise outside the breakwaters, the arresting net was used as part of the recovery. Once ashore, training continued with handling the lifeboat to turn it to face the other way in the trailer and make ready to launch again.

Yes, used for launching as well - there are tanks for engine cooling water (see note) ........... although the lifeboat will be turned before the relaunch
