This tank badge had me foxed for a while, but I think the model is a triumph cornet, aka a TWN 250H, from 1953.

TWN stands for Triumph Werke Nürnberg. No, it isn't a Cornet, and yes, it is a BDG250H. These are two different models. The Cornet had a 200 cc 2-stroke engine with 10 hp, while the BDG250H had 250 cc 2-stroke engine with 12 hp.

Thanks for the clarification - I was told it was a Cornet by the owner of another nearby m/bike.
