That's the way to do it! There are too many windy hilly roads through the mountains in British Columbia for these to work.

These trucks with 3 trailers are only allowed to be used in Outback Australia,
as they would not be safe to use in cities or urban areas John.

They are safe provided they stay on the bitumen, and in the Outback where some of the roads are only single lane they actually have right of way, and you must get of the road to allow them to pass, as it is not safe for them to get off the bitumen.

I didn't know that was required, but then I haven't yet traveled in that part of the country.
I suspect people would get out of their way as a commonsense measure.

in Queensland is 53 and a half metres.

we here have now road trains with one 20ft and one 40ft container
but this is more then 3 times 40 ft.
