Dead sheep on Traigh Bhagh

Dead sheep on Traigh Bhagh
I was intrigued by this dead sheep on the beach near Crossapol. It was one of those days when everything - sky, sea, sand - was the same flat pale grey. This dead sheep was all of a piece with the grey - coated in sand, it didn't immediately catch my eye until I'd been on the beach for half an hour or so, and wondered what the slight lump was in the distance. I stood looking at it for several minutes: something oddly moving and peaceful about its face, the mouth open as if singing quietly to itself, and the delicate little eyelashes.
