Scottish Independence Referendum: Rabbit casts his vote

Scottish Independence Referendum: Rabbit casts his vote
18th September 2014, Scottish Independence Referendum. Rabbit casts his vote.

(and in case anyone's worried that we broke any laws by taking this, the kind people at the polling station gave permission for a historic photo to be taken!)

Lorenzo Kjell Salmonson, Rosa Maria Riquelme, RQ 01012015, Michael Spiess and 8 other people have particularly liked this photo

Janano, he thought long and hard, looked into his little Rabbit heart, and voted in the way which was closest to his Rabbit dreams and convictions. And then he went home and had a roast carrot dinner.

Thanks H C! It really does feel historic here, possibly the highest turnout ever.

The rabbit vote could well swing it. What age do rabbits have to be to vote... 16 weeks?

Rabbit is at least 12 years old, which makes him a venerable ancient in rabbit years I reckon.

Awesome capture! Of course they'd give permission -- the rabbit is a celebrity!

I've never seen such a simple, easy to understand ballot.
The yes and no boxes are so big Rabbit could vote with his whole hind foot.

Thanks Meadowmom. It did feel quite momentous, being confronted with as you say, such a simple and clear question.

I am so pleased they let you do this !

I am watching the Vote as I type this.. and will watch all night.

I know my heart will be broken... or uplifted...

Whichever way it goes... some GOOD has to come out of it

I am lifting a glass of Laphroaig Single Malt in an Edinburgh Crystal glass to you anyway.

You would never have needed a passport, Les, and you would always have been welcome - it was never about borders or wanting to keep people out, never.

A truly historic occasion. Rabbit about to make his mark ! At least it gave the politicians a scare but they seem to be getting over it pretty quickly. It will be entertaining watching them try to wriggle out of as much of their vow as they can.

A disastrous result. I don't think it'll entertain me very much :0(
