Cyrtandra platyphylla Stainback 0484
July 21, 2009. Stainback Highway, 3600' diagonal road. Cyrtandra platyphylla. This was the dominant species in this area, whereas it was relatively uncommon at Tom's Trail at 3200'. The flies are Scaptomyza cyrtandrae, which breed in the glandular hairs of the leaves.
