Spooky

Spooky
On the way down from Binsey (1467ft/447m) in the latish afternoon. This hill stands on its own and provides the walker with a gentle stroll to a summit with views to the Skiddaw and Blencathra massifs in the south and to the Solway Firth and the Dumfries and Galloway hills to the north.

Cats 99, LeapFrog, Xata, Malik Raoulda and 9 other people have particularly liked this photo

Lovely - this is just what I like....

Sorry the weather was a tad inclement for your short break. This photo makes up for it...!
I can picture your retreat though from the higher ground - done the same myself and that was only by Codale Tarn. Better to be Safe rather than sorry!

(PS My ancestors came from the back o' Skiddaw..Yeoman Farmers..lovely area from Skiddaw to the Solway)

I quite like those misty days, we haven't seen so many this year. A lovely moody capture Roy

Photography does change a lot during the fog ... impressive silhouettes and outstanding shot and composition ... well taken and well well presented too ...

Wonderful! I love the shapes of those trees and of course the mist adds quite an air of mystery and a touch of an ominous tone to this shot!
