Not so common blue

Not so common blue
It's called the common blue, but they don't seem to cross my path all that frequently! We saw this one was found when we were on our hols in Cornwall. In fact we saw a few on this particular day (between The Lizard and Kynance Cove), but I've not seen any since!

This one seemed to have missed its target!

Despite a general decline in distribution and population, this butterfly remains widespread in the U.K., and is not currently a species of concern ... however, many insects are in decline around the work. Great colours and an outstanding capture Roy!!

Beautiful and not too 'common' in my neck of the woods either.

A pretty one.
Once saw a light blue butterfly up here but wasn't able to get pic or ID on it.
