Ray and Betty.....oh yeah, baby.
Ok, call me crazy. Never mind that Flickr is about images, not music. Never mind that I have lots of photos on my hard drive just waiting for a tiny light adjustment and to be uploaded to Flickr. I also have stacks of vintage magazines, a couple hundred found photos, vintage sheet music and oodles of vintage children's books that I want to scan from. Sometimes your priorities change. I just got an urge to start this new set, "what I'm listening to." I'm one of those people for whom music plays a central point in existing; I need it like I need air to breathe. Plus I'm old-fashioned enough to still be buying CDs and to own approximately 1000 record albums. Anyway, these will be scans of CD covers or photos of record covers that hold music that awes me, inspires me, makes me feel good, makes me want to keep living. My tastes aren't hip or trendy, or likely to speak to many of my Flickr friends. But please let me know if you also love any of these recordings. I'd love to have a discussion about them!

This recording has the difinitive version of "Baby it's cold outside." Forget any other version you may have heard! My other favorites are "Together" and "Side by Side" as well as the exquisite "Every Time we Say Goodbye" and "Cocktails for Two."

Ah, thank you, both Smiley and Nicolas. I'm not actually still active on flickr. This caption and image were imported from flickr, though, and I didn't go through and update many of the captions that referred to those days. :) Nowdays I do upload stuff privately to flickr just as a backup, but the formatted there and lack of responsiveness to customer needs brought me here to ipernity. I didn't get to far with the "what I'm listening to" album. Too many competing priorities! Suffice it to say that I do listen to hundreds of records and discs, even though I only scanned a few covers.
