Don't you love the resurgence of vinyl? This particular store began carrying CDs in addition to vinyl back in the 90s, mainly just to survive At one point it was about half of each. Last time I went in there, just before Christmas, they had 95pct. vinyl and only a small shelf of CDs. There's something so satisfying to me about searching through bins of albums.

i can't remember when i started buying albums for the cover art, sometimes just for the cover art. i think it was 15 or 20 years ago and am still all about the cover art. not that i don't appreciate the music ... love that, too. and finally a site where i can share my favorites with other fans. so cool!

Oh ------ in Winston-Salem, N C the place to go was Resnicks . ... they had a listening room for one to hear the song before purchasing it.

Got to go find some album covers for in here !

Peggy, I googled Resnick's, hoping the place still existed, while knowing it likely didn't. You might enjoy the book "Record Store Days; from Vinyl to Digital and Back Again" by Gary Calamar. I love it.
