Aircraft Carrier HTMS Chakri Naruebet at the Thai Naval Base at Sattahip, a place from which it rarely strays, due to lack of funding. Is used more often to transport the Thai Royal Family, which probably makes it the worlds most expensive Royal Yacht.

The only such vessel in South East Asia. Large enough when standing alongside, but it has the distinction of being the worlds smallest aircraft carrier, at 11500 tons.
Complete with shipboard fence.. HFF!

HTMS Phuttha Loetla Naphalai. An open day was being held at the Thai Naval Base at Sattahip, with the majority of visitors being school parties. Not being a Thai National I was not allowed on board.

Hornbill Sea Turtle

Young and not so young. Not too far from the Naval Base at Sattahip is the Sea Turtle Conservation Centre, run by the Thai Navy. Sizes range from postage stamp to huge dustbin lid.

Further round the bay from the Naval Base is the Thai Coast Guard Station.

At pier restaurant, Sattahip. Burning charcoal is placed in the container beneath the food dish, to heat and cook the food. There's bits of octopus in there.
