Well, in Madrid they have the tired and hackneyed Irish - themed (fake imo) pub but they are ghastly and expensive and even the guinness is stale and old and they have no idea how to keep it fresh. I hate them with a passion! No; I don't recall seeing an 'English' pub here and it would be equally horrible if there were one!
Much better to find an authentic Spanish bar for all it's lack of real ale!!!
