Iron Triangle
Avro Vulcan B2 registration XM607, preserved at RAF Waddington.
This was the aircraft that made the epic flight to bomb the runway at Port Stanley, during the Falklands conflict.

We had Victor, Valiant & Vulcan at RAF Gaydon (1957- 1959)

Every now and then they had a scramble exercise. The aircraft were timed from receiving the call ot scramble and the first air craft becoming airborn (wheels off thr ground)

They taxied past the Air Traffic Control six in line astern at abiut 40mph. I thought it an impressive sight
