Wernigerode Saxony-Anhalt Germany 18th May 2016

Harzer Schmalspurbahnen. A visit to Wernigerode shed in the late evening after dinner and amongst the stabled & simmering 2-10-2T tanks used on the Brocken and Nordhausen services I found Mallet 0-4-4-0T 99 5902 (Arnold Jung, 1898) also in steam.

A very nice picture, which I like very much!
A place I know very well indeed. I did look to see, but we did not go to Wernigerode at that date, otherwise we could have run into each other there!
Our favourite is the Altora hotel, just across the road... We can watch all night long!
