Wensleydale Railway Constable Burton North Yorkshire 1st September 2019

Wensleydale Railway Constable Burton North Yorkshire 1st September 2019
LNER/BR J27 0-6-0 65894 is running bang road through the passing loop at Constable Burton located between Fingall and Leyburn stations. We were 40 minutes out of Leeming Bar and 8 minutes before Leyburn where the train took water during its 30 minute layover at this station. Redmire the western terminus was reached after a further 15 minute journey.

The Wensleydale Railway is an impressively long line totalling 22 miles from Northallerton and, dependent on sufficient funding, it could total 25 miles if the line is extended west to Aysgarth.

Phil Sutters, E. Adam G., Erhard Bernstein, Jean-luc Drouin and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo
