Great Central Railway Loughborough Leicestershire 11th August 2018

50 years ago Stanier 8F Class No 48476 and Standard 5MT Class No 73069 were running 3 hours late with their leg of 1L50, the RCTS 'End of Steam' tour. This morning they were only a few minutes down as they approached the A6 bridge on the outskirts of Loughborough carrying the same reporting number.

Of course these two could also have carried the 1T57 train reporting number because on the 11th August 1968 they also took part in the 15 Guinea Special pulling the train from Manchester to Bolton via Oldham and Bury.
