Going Down from Cinnamon

Going Down from Cinnamon
Just went over the top of Cinnamon Pass headed toward Lake City. Cinnamon is one of my favorite roads and is real easy to drive. I would recommend a 4wd vehicle. 4wd is most necessary when you are going downhill so you don't have to use your brakes. Losing brakes in the mountains can kill you. I try not to use my brakes, or as little as possible, even on the road you see here. The road itself isn't rough by 4wd standards, but has some great views. So, if you are new to 4wheeling, this would be a good road to start on. I was driving this road after a slight dusting of snow. It was beautiful, but the light wasn't very good.

So have a great day and thanks for looking.

Keeping the front brakes is most critical, but you can always dial in a little emergency rear brake to help, but 4WD is the best approach. This is an oldie from the archives.
