Stavanger, Norway The Stavanger Cathedral (Domkirke) is Norway's oldest cathedral. It was completed in 1150. After a serious fire in1272, it was rebuilt at the end of the 13th Century. It was rennovated in the mid 1800's and again in the mid-1900's. It was closed the day I visited so I could not see the interior. AIMG 6530

In the Lysefjord in Norway. "End to end, it measures 42 kilometres (26 mi) with rocky walls falling nearly vertically over 1,000 metres (3,300 ft) into the water. Not only is the fjord long and narrow, it is in places as deep as the mountains are high.
