Elciego, La Rioja, Spain. The Ysios Winery, as designed by Santiago Calatrava. While I do really like this building overall, and how it tries to be part of the landscape, I find the lack of any really distinguishable or grand entrance to the building and minimal number of windows a little disappointing. I've only shot a few so far, but am happy with the potential of this shot. Unfortunately, my work flow needs some improvement: there was terrible scratching on this negative, which I suspect has to do with using too big a tray for rinsing. I managed to photoshop most of them out, but will likely reshoot. A note about this shot: this is the cafeteria of the now-empty Sir John Carling Building, at the Experimental Farm..This beauty has been empty for several years now. Last I heard, the feds planned on tearing the building, a nice Bauhaus piece (to be seen in future photos) down, but keeping the cafeteria as a visitor centre. However, as things go with the feds, this could be many years away.
