I had never heard of this RFA, she does look very smart and 'tidly' here.
That background does look like Wellington, New Zealand.
Forty years service is really something to be very proud of and your award of the O.B.E. was obviously well deserved.
PS I have posted pictures of Wellington tugs on the site and even after forty years at least one of them looks just like this one at your ships bows.

I think that this tug is the Ngahue, in fact I am pretty sure it is OSD and she is still going!
This would confirm that this IS Wellington Harbour.

I will post a picture of the tug line up for you.
The Ngahue was built in 1977 I think so the tug in your picture could be one of the others. though obviously not the newer model.

Well Done, Old Sea Dog, on your years at sea.

You know the song about carrying an oar inland ??? I live in Haltwhistle ("Centre of Britain") and they know them here so I'm not far enough from the sea here.
