Interesting comparison. The Canon shot gives more of a sense of depth, but overall I think I prefer this image.

It is for sure more lightstrong (both the lenses are Tamrons but not interchangable on the bodies), so whilst the flash actually works on my husbands DSLR, it was absolutely not needed to use. The other shot is pimped in PhotoImpact a little, midtones lightened and noise reduced, here it was simply not needed. The window next to me however, not seen in the other shot at all, got a really funny distortion looking wider than high....
