Lamp House / Lampenhaeusel

Lamp House / Lampenhaeusel
The original structure now hangs now like an afterthought at the hotel. Long ago this was a house belonging to the mining business, where pit lamps where stored, repaired and cleaned.

A bit of civilization after seeing the mountains. We always head for some real food after living on camp food for days or weeks.

This is a tiny part of the Hotel Lampenhaeusel in Fusch where we did stay, today mostly a bar for serving the beer garden. The old lamp house was bought by the grandparents of today's hotelier or somesuch and made into a rustic coffeeshop.
If they have got "real food" depends on your ideas what this is supposed to be. They are a big middle class hotel with a range of comperably fair priced popular international fare in the restaurant and they are also serving buffet breakfast.

After days of freeze-dried food, instant coffee, powdered milk, granola, instant oatmeal, ramen noodles and such fare, almost anything tastes good.

It looks cheerful and rather sad at the same time. Don't know why exactly.

Guess that is because it is already wintered. Easier to notice and take pics of wooden details with no sun umbrellas in the way, but the flower boxes are empty.
