Moth / Motte

Moth / Motte
I found it one hot summer morning when looking if the stuff on the laundry rack was already dry, hiding out in my husband's black denims. Looks like it is really a guy with this feathered antennae, but otherwise it is so nondescript, I dare not ID it alone / Ich fand das Tier an einem heissen Sommervormittag, als ich am Waeschestaender nach den trocknenden Klamotten sah.

Wouldn't dare venture a guess, but a nice shot and a nice find, though I wouldn't want it hiding in my jeans.

At least this time it was not a earwig hiding in the laundry. I just hate it when I carrry a nimble wiggly forficulid into the bedroom accidently and have to hunt it down for release.

Good capture. I have a fear of moths so if I found it I would run and my husband would have to take it away.

I would FAR rather a moth than an eight legged thing that shall not be named !!!!

As long I am not inside my clothing, I fear moths more. Howerver not adults of this tribus trying to hide on the clothline for rest -- more the tiny colourless whisps that oviposit in the laundry cabinet and whose offspring may ruin all the favorite warm socks, angora undies and muffler when you think of them last. Spiders where I live can not really endanger humans with a bite but some can hurt. At least they are not like earwigs and ants and show no special interest in exploring life humans intimately just for they sit next to them.
