Wallaroo grain silos

The Viterra grain silos at the port of Wallaroo on the Spencer Gulf are connected to the jetty by conveyors and can load ships with wheat or barley at 600 tonnes per hour.

Viterra was formed from the "privatization/amalgamation" of Alberta Pools, Sask Pool and Mantioba Pool. They no longer represent the wheat farmers who created these pools. The Canadian Wheat Pool was disbanded by the Federal Conservative government.
