When set-aside is beautiful
Crossing the savannah, in Oxfordshire

One of two set-aside fields that I have to cross to take the previous picture; there is no trickery here and the view was taken at eye-level. I think I may need to look out for giraffes and lions...

Cheers, Roy. I've been told that this grass is actually is wetland reed called Phragmites, home to various warblers. Honestly, although I could see animal trails in the ground, the area looks desolate to me! Actually, the motorway is only 1-2 hundred yards away and the ambient noise level, pretty high.
