Don Valley coal empties

Don Valley coal empties
The upper reaches of the Don Valley see a return working on the 1:124 descent near Ecklands, a mile short of Penistone. The locos in charge are 76 032+034 which had already worked a loaded train from Wath in the opposite direction.

Whitley Edge is on the skyline to the right with the undulating rise towards Dunford Bridge about four miles away on the left.

Techy stuff: OM-1 and 50mm lens, Kodachrome 25, slide scan.

A beautiful composed shot and great use of the over hanging tree to take out some of the sky.

Thank you all who have kindly commented recently. I'm afraid that Ipernity does not tell me when feedback is given so that I cannot reciprocate promptly: I can only find out by going through every single picture I have, one at a time.... and you will probably never see MY thanks.
