"Sacred to the memory of Mary, widow of Francis Lord Seaforth, and daughter of the Very Rev. John Baptist Proby, Dean of Litchfield and Mary Russell his wife.
Born 12th Aug 1754, departed this life 27th Feb 1829.
This tablet is erected by her surviving daughters in thankful and affectionate remembrance of her Christian life and blessed death."

Mary Proby was born 12 Aug 1754 to The Very Rev. Baptist Proby and Mary Russell.
22 April 1782 she married Lt-Gen Francis Humberston Mackenzie, 1st and last Lord Seaforth, Baron Mackenzie of Kintail.
she died 27 feb 1829.
They had 10 children, but was survived only by three daughters including the Hon. Mary Fredericka Elizabeth.
