"Here lyes e nobile and maist vertuous ladie Deame Jane Hamilton Countas of Egling un doghter to James duke of Scattillarot sometyme Governor of this realme.
She deceast in December MDXCVI."

Lady Jane (Jean) Hamilton was the daughter of James Hamilton, 2nd Earl of Arran and Lady Margaret Douglas.
On the 13 February 1555 she married Hugh Montgomerie, 3rd Earl of Eglinton. On 30 May 1562 they divorced on grounds of Consanguinity.
She died December 1596 without issue.

On the left is a simple row of stones:
Near to the remains of his cousin Henrietta are deposited those of William the infant son of Edw. Will. Auriol, Hay esq Lyon Clerk and Louisa Margaret his wife.
Born 16th June 1823. Died 17th May 1825.
Also by the side of his brother William the remains are deposited those of Francis Bingler an infant son of Edward William Auriol and Louisa Margaret his wife
Born 29 July 1825, Died 16 April 1826.
Also within the same grave the remains of Henrietta Maria, an infant daughter .... died 1829 (?).
