Woodland scene.

Woodland scene.
Photographed in late March 2015 on the day of the Solar eclipse whilst waiting for the clouds to clear (the eclipse had just started). The location is Raven's Clough wood near Brierfield in the North-West of England, an ideal place to watch the eclipse as it is situated on a hillside with great views to the East and South. The clouds eventually cleared enough to get some images of the eclipse which are currently located further down this page.
Camera: Sony RX100 compact.
Processed with Nikon Capture NX2.

That's what we don't have here in the chalky South Downs, nice clear fast running streams. Very few streams seem to rise in the Downs. The rivers flow through gaps in the Downs at places like Lewes, but seem to come from the Weald beyond.
