Ancient Clam bridge at Wycoller.

Ancient Clam bridge at Wycoller.
This ancient bridge, situated in the hamlet of Wycoller in North-West England is made from a single monolith and is believed to be of neolithic origin (certainly at least 1,000 years old and possibly as old as Stonehenge) and is listed as an "Ancient Monument". Photographed with a Sony RX100 compact camera and processed with Nikon Capture NX2.

Roger Dodger, Martine, William Sutherland, Linuxica Jenesis and 4 other people have particularly liked this photo

Are you still allowed to cross it? Or is it now protected?

Hi Steve.....the bridge is part of a public footpath and is open to everyone. There are usually people being photographed on this bridge and you'll probably need to wait if you want a "people-free" photo (that happened this time too, when I took this photo).
