I know these ladies well! I used to work in Bermondsey and often walked up to the river in my lunch-breaks. I was surprised, when I worked in the Southwark Council Arts Team, as an administrator, that there was no record of the many public artworks in the Borough. So I gave myself the task of tracking down, photographing and noting the general condition of each. I eventually was paid for a few days to write up and upload my work, but I'll bet it hasn't been looked at or added to since. So it's nice to find someone else who appreciates the free art gallery out on the streets, squares, estates and parks! With some works added since I moved away, my photos can be seen at www.ipernity.com/doc/philsutters/album/500883

Thanks for your visit and the information. I live in Watford but love London and never tire of visiting. I think the sculptures and street art are just as attractive as the historic buildings and parks. Will check out your photos. What a great thing to do, making a record and photographing the public artworks, even if it isn't wholly appreciated by the powers that be. Thank you.
