It is a fascinating world for which there are so many subjects that we could talk about.

But I prefer the great black wasp and the mechanistic behavior of this animal as an example of how seemingly thoughtful behavior can actually be quite mindless, the opposite of free will.

In this image it’s maybe the moment when the wasp emerges from the nest ready to drag in the prey and it finds it's missing.

This image is REMARKABLE because it conveys her perplexity !!

Amazing colors and light, too

Thank you, Mark

I think this one was looking for somewhere to build her nest ~ I found her in my garden shed and had to put her outside.
The 'great black wasp' sounds a formidable insect... I'm glad we don't have them around here.
Thank you for your comment Judite.

To be honest, Mark I immediately thought in this but I liked the idea of the great black wasp ~ It lives across most of North America… It's faraway

You have a garden shed. Well, as an Englishman.

an Englishman needs a garden ~ and a garden needs a shed ~ but a shed doesn't necessarily need a wasps' nest in it.

I agree, Mark. Only wasps for pollination
