Garden Test Shot

Garden Test Shot
I bought a rather tired 65mm Sekor C lens for the RB67 some time ago, it had quite a lot of fungus, and many dust particles, and one ear of the breech lock mount had been bent, but since I only paid $22 for it, it was worth a look.

Because they are so big, RB lenses are quite easy to work on, you do need a few special tools, but this one cleaned up quite well, and is a useful focal length on 6x7

Picture is of oak, chestnut and hazel trees in our garden.

(The workshop manual for the RB67 Pro-S camera, which also includes information about the 65 & 50mm lenses is here: rb67.helluin.org/files/2010/02/Mamiya-RB67-Pro-S-Repair-Manual.pdf

Mamiya RB67 Pro-S, f4/65mm Sekor C lens, x2 yellow filter. Foma 100 in Gainer's Original, stock, 8mins @21C. Scanned @1200dpi on Epson V500

Brian, thanks for your kind words!

I quite enjoy having a go at these "forlorn hopes" Next in the pipeline is a 6x4.5 back for the RB67, clearly been dropped, and the bottom moulding cracked, but I've got a couple of old backs for donor parts, so we shall see!

Hi Marta, thank you! I like this garden very much, but It is a lot of work to keep it looking good, especially in Autumn, when the millions of leaves fall, then it does not look so beautiful :-(

Please, do not remind me... my garden is no way that large, but the falling leaves are always a trouble ;)

Hi Gianni, many thanks! I am happy about the lens, - the garden, well, it is not so easily fixed! Sometimes I must wear my gardeners hat, even when I do not want to!!

IT looks from this result that it's just as good as a new one! And a 6mm on 6x7 is a most usefull focal length!!

Hi Boris, many thanks!

Happily, because they are so large, RB lenses are not too hard to work on, like working on a clock, compared to a watch! I like this 65mm very much, and I look forward to trying it with a 6x4.5 back that I am repairing. Watch this space!

You should remove the parenthesis after the address of the PDF workshop manual, as it causes a 404 error when clicked on;)
