Until dark last night this remained as you see it. This morning it is back to the perfect image I first showed. We did have rain overnight, but I don't get it!!!!!! As Marissa said, there's some sorcery going on. . . . I'd say 'magic'. :~)
Perhaps it shows how much change there is between wet and dry moss, but I don't think we've had enough dry weather to dry it out that much. Looking and thinking about it a bit more, I think it has to be the moss hydrating and dehydrating. All the rational thinkers will be relieved. . . . .
