Floods

slippage after the last flood

slippage after the last flood

A whole section of the hill, containing all the group of trees in the middle, is on its way down to the bottom. They are now gone altogether, and it is just the occasional rock coming down. . . . . photo MR

so sad to think of all the trees, other plants and animals that must perish in these flash floods.

If you saw the growth that happens after that much rain, you wouldn't worry, and the animals don't seem to diminish, either. I think they mostly get out of the way before it happens.

This slip hollowed out much more in the latest flood and landslips. I wonder how many times it's slipped since 5 years ago. . . . . several, and some really severely.
